What do you like about working at AEP Industries?

"Nothing. The office was run by a burned out women who was stuck in the sixties. The owner, who is Chinese, felt that others should be able to correct his lies and mistakes and make everything better with the customer. The products were inferior, high priced, and never shipped on time. Expectations were high yet there was little support from the factories AEP represented. There was no insurance and the pay was much lower than the average pay for the position"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't bother. You will eventually be fired."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If your going to call the company American Electronic Products, then the products should be made in America. Otherwise, rename the company China Electronic Products."

"Very exciting industry; learned much about plastics"

"A lot of growing pains"

"Look farther ahead"

"The atmosphere and culture was very laid back and family oriented. So long as you get your work done, it was a very enjoyable place to go to everyday. I actually looked forward to seeing the majority of the people that I worked with."

"Be yourself. Culture is very important to this company."

What don't you like about working at AEP Industries?

"Initially I was happy with my compensation. However, I felt I was more than successful as proving myself to be an asset to the organization, and I do not feel my compensation adjusted accordingly. I don't think it was personal; it was jut how the company was set up. Additionally, there were some elephant in the room personalities that never seemed to get addressed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more proactive in recognizing achievement (with compensation), and be more proactive in dealing with negative personalities."

"This was a position I held for a little over a year then was down-sized."

"The people I worked with were awesome. The job itself was fun and challenging. Was open to a better way to get the job done."

"The benefits and pay were less than adequate, however, in that location you took what you could get."

"Work on getting better pay and benefits for employees."

"Was a clean factory and very open upper level management. There was always something to be upkept or repaired and seemed like it never was the same reoccuring problems."

"Show a willingness to learn new things and that you are a honest, hard working individual that can think outside the box."

What don't you like about working at AEP Industries?

"I greatly enjoyed working there and have no complaints. I only left for what was a better paying job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep us the cleanliness and open door policy."
