"I have been with AECOM two years and love the work but not the atmosphere. The company is employee supportive but not family-friendly. If assigned out of area and refuse you are let go, or put on imposed hiatus. My next upcoming options are out of state and prefer to work in California"
"I have been working for AECOM for 8 years. The company provided opportunities to employees when it was good shape. However, the mis-management brought it to down time."
"AECOM has a well managed construction program through the Tishman addition to the company"
"AECOM is a great place to get involved in Industry type jobs, as they are diverse, and located all over the US/world. The work is easy, and the pay is great. I would recommend to anybody looking for stability in the workplace."
"I worked at AECOM for 28 years as a graphic designer. The company offered many opportunities for employees to move laterally and vertically within the company with the option to relocate around the country. My tip would be to latch onto one of the larger projects the company has - unless you're working on a multi-million dollar program, the company has little use for you and once your project is completed there's a real scramble to get new work - which you will get little to no help in attaining."
"Ethical but disfunctional"
"I have worked for AECOM for 8 years (since I was in ENSR) and although the work variety has been good and the people I have been working with have been great, the corporate climate is dismal. There is little room for internal advancement and due to drastic RIFs, morale is the lowest I have ever seen it. I can not recommend joining this company unless you are an entry-level staffer looking for your first position in the industry."
"I've worked with AECOM for 10 years and the beginning years was a very pleasant experience. The past 2 years when we got a new CIO things went downhill. They laid off 1/3 of the IT Support and changed the overall system and after 2 years went to outsource the IT support."
"My position is a new acquisition for the company, and it is disconnected from the corporate structure."
"not interested in submitting"
"The environment is good. The company needs a more thorough training program, and listen to those with training leadership experience to increase new employee knowledge in an effective manner. This is a contractor job, and with that the regulations that govern the CTTR are dependent on the contract winner. Tis creates an inconsistent environment as far as regulations are concerned and can cause severe confusion."
"Average in Management, equipment and opportunity"
"I've worked for AECOM three years as an environmental consultant. The range of clients and the diversity of AECOM's contracts is a good starting point for anyone entering the consulting field."
"Project oriented staffing, no lifetime employment"
