"Once hired my recruiter wouldn't return voicemail or email and after being on board two months. RM also dismissive. Basically, a new hire trains remotely and especially if a total rookie has no solid idea how the whole thing will be. Working at a Walmart is rough...AS vendors will also discover this. Be prepared for much grief and to be a thorn in not only store employees' but managers' side. No lie, you may be mistreated. Then there's the Company drama. It all can really be a deal breaker. The retirees doing this must be hardy and admirable as one has to be repeatedly resilient and smiley faced against shoppers who constantly pull demonstrator aside for questions better answered by store employees; archaic Company equipment; opposition by Walmart workers, including customer service staffers; error evident instructions/conflicting ideas and crazy making. I could think of so many not little things the Company could make much easier for the demo artists but did not. Again, the situations and petty personality conflicts others throw will make an ES wish they never went to work, and eventually it finally got through. I lasted as long as I did because of a couple true professional Company colleagues who were in the same proverbial boat. The rating is more for the Store's and overall job conditions. Company experience may vary on city/state and specific managers. I would rate the woe and realistic experience at best, a one point five."
