"Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Advanstar as a place to work, it is very poorly managed and there is a very high turnover within all departments. They have outsourced Editorial and Sales with inexperienced personell and I have personally witnessed employees escorted from the building who disagreed with Sr. Managment."

"The people that I worked were fantastic, dedicated to the publications - unfortunately, they were all let go, and positions were outsourced with inexperienced, cheap labor."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not work at Advanstar. It will appear as a great opportunity, and you will quickly see that it is poorly managed, and as soon as you disagree with the VP, you are immediately removed from the company."

What don't you like about working at Advanstar Communications?

"Advanstar had great products which were ruined by Sr. Management, eliminating Editorial, Sales and Marketing departments. Editorial is a core function of publishing. This company is poorly managed and there is no job security."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"New Management is needed."
