"I was misled into believing this company was a forward thinking company with plans to expand 100% in two years. Upon leaving a secure role for the promise of growth and security I discovered there was everything but. The owner and president will stifle your suggestions and initiatives to improve existing processes by taking a modern approach and will consider it insubordination and a personal attack if you don't do things his way. They use Mastercam X9 but insist on approaching programming in the fashion of Mastercam 8 (not X8). There is absolutely no creative freedom in engineering. You will actually be labeled incompetent if you try to use any new methods like HEM, or HSM. They absolutely do not purchase any tooling or end mills larger than 1/2 in. They have a multitude of different machines that require different programming formats but have no customized post processors for the corresponding controls. You will have to do a lot of manual editing and if there is any debugging necessary at the machine you will be labeled as an incompetent programmer. There is no verification software like Vericut. The operators will hold up processes by their inexperience and this will also reflect poorly on your job performance. Communication with guys on the floor is impossible unless you're Polish. There is a culture in Admill that is exclusive and discriminating against anyone who isn't Polish speaking. If your family is experiencing hardship like cancer you'll be expected to "separate your personal problems from work" because "we pay you well and need you here both mentally and physically". You will not be able to use the benefits like vacation and earned PTO without it having a detrimental effect on your performance review. You could do everything in your power to show you're committed but it will serve you no good. There is the highest turnover of employees I have ever seen. They fire you for making mistakes regardless of how costly or whether you are at fault."
