"I worked for Acuity Brands LC&D for more than 4 years. This is a good startup company. Opportunity for career growth is fair. You just need to be very visible in every good job you do in order to be recognized."
"I loved my job at Acuity Brands. My review on them is excellent. However, I do not understand why I was laid off."
"The product that Acuity Brands Lighting makes is amazing. The operators who do the work are the miracle mushrooms of the organization though. They're basically kept in the dark (until recently, literally) and constantly crapped on. The organization relies on 1940's inventory control methods and is strongly averse to the use of technology in the day-to-day management of inventory/production. The facility I worked at was STRONGLY run by a good ol' boys network of mid-level management."
"Acuity is a large company with numerous departments. Depending on your background and interests, you may find a cozy home there or you may find that it lacks an interest in innovation and fosters a conservative, narrow-minded approach. It is not the best company to work for, nor is it the worst."
"An excellent learning experience in lean transformation."
