What do you like about working at Acterna?

"Our small group of 8 people took an inherited single board design and quickly turned it into a thriving product line with revenues approaching 15M. We were self sustaining, self motivated, driven group of professionals."

What don't you like about working at Acterna?

"We were a victim of our own success, our thriving product line made us attractive for different divisions to try pull us in because we were one of the few profit centers for the company. Our remote R&D center was ultimately shut down and offers made to the group to relocate (no one made the move). It was a power play to try and end the divisional jockeying for our profitable group. By adding our group in a division, we made the bottom line look better. So, naturally everyone wanted a profit center for their bottom line."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing really, they eventually demoted and laid off the decision makers for the ill fated profit grab. It was just too late to undo the damage. I still converse with some of the upper management on a regular basis."
