Acqualina Resort and Residences on the Beach Employee

"Working hours were ridiculous it's like we're being set up to be stressed, get exhausted, and fail! I don't even get decent breaks because every time I was about to, a guest would come asking for help."

"The management was incompetent, the policies were backward-thinking, and the staff was complicit in the hotel's many flaws. They would make unrealistic demands on the staff, and then blame us when we couldn't meet them. For example, they would expect us to serve a full restaurant of guests in under an hour, even though we were understaffed and overworked. Another problem with the management was their backward-thinking policies. For example, they refused to allow servers to split tips with the kitchen staff, even though the kitchen staff did the majority of the work. They also refused to allow servers to take breaks, even though we were constantly running around and working long hours."
