"It's great if they need you, the minute they don't, you're gone"
What do you like about working at Access Systems?
"They made some exceptions for me, so I get to work from home which is great. Most of the people are nice, esp. the managers in Stafford."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I hired an attorney to review their offer letter. Get everything in writing and have a plan B. Do not apply for a position that isn't tied to a contract - they always get cut."
What don't you like about working at Access Systems?
"Corporate leadership could exhibit stronger leadership. They hired me away from a good company, promised me a great project, then didn't have the ability to secure said project. They very often say one thing and do something else. For example, they give a speech to the troops on how they want to make our office a great place to work, then they cut our pay and take away all our perks. They also tend towards old technology."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Live up to your commitments, especially considering you expect others to honor their commitments to the company. Don't treat people like resources (they actually call employees Resources in this weird third party military style memo speech they have in internal communications). You're not the Army. You're not the Marine Corps. Don't act like them. Take care of your people and the business will work out just fine."
