"This place could use a whole makeover. Management says they care but they don't. Dedicated works get no schedules and favorites get it all. I am very hard working and a very good sales Associate at Academy Sports and get overlooked all the time. Now it is like calling to get on the schedule and then just checking your schedule. People like myself have other jobs because we need to provide for our family then and our part-time job deprived us of hours that is totally ridiculous and low. I would not recommend anybody wasting their time there. Sad when you have an employee who wants to work and then gets no hours"

"I do not understand why people that work hard and are loyal and just want their hours are not given any and the ones that apply for a job then turn around and call out and want to play to get hours. Management needs to improve here big time. You are told to call to see if you can on the schedule then are told to check your schedule to see if you even have hours. I have always worked hard and did my job and depend on my part-time hours on the weekend but I have been totally ignored and taken advantage of. Shame shame shame"

"I wish people who are dedicated and work hard and show up for their shift would get treated properly. I enjoyed working for Academy Sports for several years until this year. I would not get scheduled and I was told to call then it was switched to check your schedule. You should not keep people waiting like that. We were told.to take time for family so I did. Then they get ticked because they realize that I was taking advantage of the time and they short with me. I am sick and tired of people saying one thing and doing another. I am a former owner of a business and you cannot and I repeat you cannot run a business like that I could careless how big or small your business is. People who work hard for you should be commended and the other that like to play and not show up well give them the captain hook. Management was great in 2016 then came 2021 and it went down hill. I even have hear impairment and they made me still wear a radio with ear piece. Big no.no there buddy and get treated differently because I have ADHD. People should be treated fairly I guess they didn't get the memo. Save yourself the hardship and find a place that treat great. Chic fila a is the best"
