"In IT, you get a bit of everything. You need to react and you need to plan ahead."

"Management seems to like a more social person. Well adjusted seems to be the way to go"

What don't you like about working at Textron?

"The stability at the time was nerve racking for everybody."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There isn't much you can do to change the state of the company."

What do you like about working at Textron?

"Textron Defense Systems is bigger player in the defense industry. Being a bigger player, Textron Defense has the means to bid on the big contracts and the interesting DARPA contracts as well. Most projects are multidisciplinary feats, so there is no lack of learning nor is there a lack of interest."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Independent of the position, most managers have been management for a while and can identify the workers from the weaklings. Exhibit as much confidence as you can, a dash of arrogance is key."

What don't you like about working at Textron?

"The current state of the company has many employees wondering daily who will get the cut next. There's not much you can do about that right now."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Both managers I have worked for have been fantastic. I have never felt inadequate on a project and I have never felt that my contributions, however small or large, were inconsequential."

"A lots of hands on and troubleshooting that make the day go by faster"

"Just being yourself, don't afraid to say I don't know if you don't know the answer."

"The coworkers are very nice. Always helping each other and treat others equally."

"The managers are pretty nice as long as you get the job done."

"They demanded a minimum of 12 hour days and after I attained the AS9100 (the Aerospace equivalent to ISO 9001)Certification, they didn't need me anymore and did not fulfill promises of promotion."

"I worked with hard working people."

"Make sure all commitments are in writing."

What don't you like about working at Textron?

"The General Manager changed and he changed the approach to how I would be promoted. He had his own Quality Person in mind to run my newly certified Quality Organization."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stay true to your commitments wherever possible and reward great achievements. I was brought on to get the company AS9100 Certified and I accomplished that on our 1st attempt. Previously, they failed their attempts."

"The HR department is very corrupt, selfish, and back-stabbing."

"Really pay attention to the talent you acquire, because it keeps running out the doors."
