"Be prepared for erratic schedules and conflicting, ambiguous direction from supervisors. Otherwise, there are some great people, and selling books is very rewarding."

"The hours were terrible. Frequent double talk from supervisors. Misguided budgets for payroll. Inconsistent direction."

"Be consistent in the day to day operational policies. Ensure that communication has reached all levels of the organization before making decisions."

"I love being able to lead my team to success whether it be collaboratively or for an individual barista. It brings me joy to be able to take each member of my team to their next platform of success. I enjoy the passion behind what we do. We take ownership and pride in our product, store and customer service."

"Inconsistency in upper management. Constant district adjustments and changes of people in upper management."

"The sometimes lack of willingness to change a a broken system that proved to loose money"

"Be open to change. The stores were successful in the 80 and 90 based because you were innovators in the industry."

"I didn't have any dislikes at the D&B company."

"I feel like just the kiss asses make it up the coorperate ladder"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"less paper work , we have a lot of redundencey and out of date equipment. More focus on spiffs and retirement, health care, more power as a store manager. Run it like you own it. a better bonus structure would be great. When you have an awesome Internal Controllable Profit and make a cool 400k on top of last years sales it would be nice to get a check at the end of the year bigger than 800 bucks."

"Be sure that you can speak to your experience of driving sales, be prepared to give specific examples."

"Limited growth without relocation. Company is growing but not in my specific area."

"My experience at The Home Depot was a learning experience."
What do you like about working at Home Depot?
"I was a human resource manager at The Home Depot. They downsized the human resource managers within each store. I was asked to transfer to another Home Depot as an assistant manager. I preferred working as a human resource manager as opposed to an assistant manager."
What don't you like about working at Home Depot?
"I did not like the management staff I worked for when I transferred to an assistant manager. They did not welcome me because of my human resource background. I felt they thought I was a threat to them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have none at this time, as the management staff I worked for last was not open for suggestions."
