"Working at Journeys is like being in an abusive relationship"
What do you like about working at Journeys Shoes?
"Laid back dress code, great discount, a fun environment is encouraged by the company"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Run away. If you are covered in tattoos and have no life responsibilities, then this is the place to go to be overworked and taken advantage of. Otherwise, you will make more $ at McDonald's."
What don't you like about working at Journeys Shoes?
"No work/life balance. Company runs stores on a skeleton crew forcing managers to work 6 day/50+ hour weeks. If you aren't in a higher volume store, you will make less an hour than the guy making your lunch in the food court. The pay scale seems designed to take advantage of twenty somethings with tattoos. Not possible to support a family after 100+ hours at work in a pay period."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Revise your pay structure. Allow for more than two key holders per store to allow mgt a better work/life balance. Increase payroll so managers do not have to work long shifts without the ability to eat, sit down for break or even use the bathroom."

"Look for a different company to work for. Once you do a google search you will see what I am talking about"
What don't you like about working at Appliance Factory Outlet?
"The dishonesty. Upper management hires most people. We have a high turn over rate due to the fact that upper management is dishonest about the pay, family life, and as most reading reading that have already found out from reading reviews on the company we sale what is called an out of box appliance. Most of these appliances are used and we are made to sale them as new. Causes a lot of problems. I would highly recommend a very indepth google search on the company before you waste your time putting in a app with the company"

"Change COO and start being honest with customer and employees,"

"Find a different company to work for. Do your online research about this company and you will see what I am talking about"

"Upper management is the worse I have ever dealt with. The company makes employees sales used out of box appliances as new. They got caught doing it by the news stations, they have been investigated by the police for fraud. Its just a bad bad bad company"

"Learn the be honest and get rid of the COO"

"The jewelry is beautiful. However, the quality of the sterling is not as promised. Was told some was actually silver filled when customer thought they were buying 925 sterling."

"Run away now. Things are not what they seem. More drama and controls than needed."

"The Store Manager is controlling, a micro-manager, and plays favoritism."

"Pay attention and watch out for traps. Dont trust what anyone tells you. Manager is two faced"

"I like developing and leading a team. I love serving the customers and the regular contact and feedback I get from them."

"Understand that you are joining a company that pays significantly less than much of the industry and that the turnover is high. This should tell the astute all they need to know."
What don't you like about working at Little Caesars Pizza?
"The hours are irregular and for managers very long. As I am in a salaried position, I am the fill in most of the time when someone calls off or we are slow and need to cut labor. My supervisor tends to micromanage too."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Spend some time in the stores before you come in and criticize the operation. Also, understand that when the manager has to oversee the day to day operations, they do not have the time for repair and other troubleshooting of equipment which continues to malfunction. Show your managers that you are behind them."

"I enjoyed that every day held something new and that every day was different."

"I would tell everyone to get all promises in writing."

"There was not enough staff to handle the needs of our customers and created a stressful environment."

"I would have increased payroll to ensure proper coverage and not overwork my staff."

"I suggest that management works more on getting what the customer wants and needs, and not on grading your employees on how much they can sell to one customer and making it a part of their employment status."

"Weekend shifts take time away from that spent with my family. There is no formal training program for further advancement once you reach the level of store manager."

"Sears is an excellent company in many ways. Like all companies, it has good parts and bad parts."

"I have reached that point - see above note. I now have been asked to sit and wait for 3-5 years to advance.."

"Sideline the accountants from operational roles, and go with fewer middle managers."
