"Kaiser is a great place to learn the best in health care/insurance. But it is also a gigantic company with many stakeholders in any single project. Sometimes it seems too difficult to do simple things. But other times, you get the great feeling that what you have done is the best in the industry."
"Kaiser Permanente has a strong work/life balance and a serious goal of providing best-in-class healthcare. They are not a technology company, which sometimes gets in the way of creating ideal digital experiences. Growth is possible, but they have a tendency to put people in a role for several years without a pay increase, before making it official."
"This company is like a big titanic that needs to be maneuvered softly and correctly. Therefore, projects could take a while due to a lot of moving parts involved."

"Reputable company with great benefits."
"Easy going and a good work environment to work for."
"Kaiser is growing quickly and dealing with a rapid rate of change. This creates opportunity. Planning is very, very good as a result, project execution and budget can be challenging. While at Kaiser I had a new manager (7) about each of my eight years. I feel human resources has an agenda that is aligned with business (spend time on administrative tasks) and not with technology. This leads to limiting technology oriented people. Kaiser engages contractors to solve the technology schism."
"Kaiser is a sweat shop. It focuses on saving money and has no leadership. Managers are slave drivers and you have no one to complain to. If you are a contractor you either shut up or get fired. In Pasadena, they supply coffee and tea but no cups! The conference rooms have no equipment, no technical support, wireless internet does not work most of the time."
