"Autonomy is still going through absorption into Hewlett-Packard. Despite Hewlett-Packard's split into two companies, it is a solid enterprise. Autonomy, however, is in a great position in the market, but is very chaotic in its operation. True training is unheard of and a "churn and burn" attitude is taken towards its technical staff."

What don't you like about working at Hewlett-Packard?
"Politics and jockeying to keep your current role, perks, titles when the company needs to embrace change to survive make the job difficult. So, our brand suffers and we are target practice for any journalist trying to cut his teeth."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Align all of the business units to work together to optimize business results instead of operating in silos. The internal competition is counter productive and causes frustration which leads to apathy. That apathy shows in our products, sales efforts and our ability to compete with companies that are more unified."
