"The internship was non-paid. The communication was an issue as I was working remotely and the communication was only via email"

"The culture is more like working for predators than professionals; it didn't hit me as I was working for a contract / staffing firm, but I saw EMC treat some of its employees in ways I didn't think highly of, and I'd like to think I was an impartial witness."

"Be a more people-oriented business if you expect to get enthusiastic people."

"Pragmatic company, be sure to have some solid questions and show you know something about the storage industry."

"The work environment has deteriorated due to extensive cuts and 'compression' of facilities."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Spend a few bucks in making people's life a bit more pleasant. Penny pinching can do more harm than good. Give each employees some discretionary spending without a vast effort to get a few items, e.g. a few books, payment to get technical papers instead of other benefits if have to trade. Advancement is a problem as a flat matrix environment, and ability to change bosses."

"what I liked most about the company was the opportunties they gave as a recrutiing manager. I was able to market, sell, learn the operational and financial end of the firm."

"As a recruiter with the firm, when interviewing I looked for derdication and knowkedge within other areas outside of the position I was interviewing for. Considering it was a management consulting firm and the work is project based the more skills sets you achieved the more opportunities are available to you."
