"I love my job. I've worked at McDonald's, the Buckle, Pizza Hut, and Walmart in that consecutive order. Walmart has by far been my favorite job. I started as a cashier the first few years and then became a customer service manager. It can be stressful at times, but overall I really enjoy it. I like working with so many different people and customers. It's a lot of fun. The pay could be better, but recently Walmart has stepped up its game and increased its wages, which is a definite plus. If you're interested in Walmart, I definitely recommend it. I've had a good time with Walmart. It's a home away from home."

Working at Walmart in Lubbock, TX: 2 Employee Reviews

Walmart Employee

"I worked for Walmart for over three years, it's what you make it. Not uncommon for managers to be switched around departments which can make it difficult to function at times but it's manageable. For the most part the customers treat you how you treat them - with an occasional rowdy customer."

What do you like about working at Walmart?

"Too many directions from too many sources, unrealistic expectations, disorder everywhere. No one addressing the problems."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Work part time, of course, you'll probably never get a chance to work full time anyways. Hadn't seen many positions that let you nowadays. And if you work this position, expect to always have some part of you ache all the time, even after work. Oh, and training Better make friends fast, cause you'll get a brief run thorough, and then you're on your own, unless you have another associate helping you."

What don't you like about working at Walmart?

"There was too much work to be done without much time to do it in a day. Had to get computer training done and never any time for that."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Go to a random store, any in the country. WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNING."
