"I've been with the bank for over 14 years. It's an institution that emphasizes ethics and business stability. Ability to move up is somehow limited and the pay is not great, but other things make up for it. Benefits are nice especially retirement related, but healthcare plan could be much better. Bank is stable and growing year to year."

"District manager lacked people and crucial managerial skills. The training was atrocious and counterproductive."

"Contracted through a temp service to do data entry for US Bank, processing tax documents. Pay is 11 an hour - national rate is 13, but considering third party intervention (temp service), it evens out. Quality control. Lacking. You can't have quality control if I am processing tax documents, and then later re-keying that very same information. One group should only deal with quality control data while the others deal with inputting. Networked? Well, it's great, but if I want to go to dos and send a network message to another terminal, it would be easy. I could even crash the system. Close those doors, guys. Breaks. While breaks are not mandatory, US Bank provides 2 unpaid 15 minute breaks, with a paid 30 minute lunch break. Say a shift goes like this: In at 11. Break at 1230, lunch at 230, break at 430, off at 700. I don't know about you, but prolonged sitting is not good for your body, You need to move around and get the blood flowing. A break at 630 would be beneficial and support adequate production. Hiring. Training is a stretch to say the least. You can't hire a bunch of fools only interested in talking about someone, or wearing the newest accessories, like their prancing down a runway at some fashion show. It's a JOB. Not play time. We don't do this for fun. It's not an adventure. It's work, and if you are not down with working, you should quit and save yourself the stupidity of being fired."

"I have worked with the company for two years. My experience has been bad particularly because of my relation with the immediate manager. He was not able to understand my point of view and had different work ethics."

"I have worked for US Bank Home Mortgage since 2012 as a Mortgage Loan Originator. The company is wonderful in many ways, HOWEVER... the entire company has a severe lack for training in ALL departments. I have been successful within my position but that has been solely due to my drive and motivation. There is a major issue between Operations and Sales, a division and an atmosphere that is not attractive in a professional business. It is most definitely Operations against Sales and vice versa. I would never recommend anyone for this specific position until the missing link and longing CONNECTION between these 2 departments can be mended. Great benefits, and once in an executive position, you are safe regardless if you work 5 hours a week and treat people bad or not. I personally have an excellent relationship with my executives along with the executives on the Operations side, as well as a great and honest relationship with my processors. My views and stated opinion are based off of my personal observation over the past 3 years."

"US Bank is a great company that takes great strides to care for their employees. The IT departments are very strongly regulated and a lot of the work needs to stay within rigid processes and design standards. The IT career path is very non-IT heavy in the management levels and it gets frustrating having many layers of non techies between IT "doers" and decision makers."
