"They are not a good place to work for contractors. They basically want to have their cake and eat it too. No matter how much your responsibilities change or promotions, etc expect no more than a 3% raise each year."

"the policy and regulation amonst certain discipliens and functions is so thight and difficult some times to get meaning full insight."

"to become a risk taker in certain aspects of the business."

"The people and the opportunity to benefit the company were great. We were given a free hand to set our own goals under supervision, which I like."

"Be willing to give good value and really pitch in,and be sensitive to the culture and make sure you can work in the environment."

"Not a good overall strategy in IT due to disjointed communications overseas. Also the way some things were decided and implemented. We were often under the whims of those we didn't even know, who really did not consult with us to get our input."

"Management needs to be more grounded in the technical issues and reach out to others within and outside the company for input and awareness of issues."

"The work-life balance is terrible. Toyota has a tendency of finding what you are good at and piling that and only that on you, even if others have less work and could take some of your jobs."

"Very wide chasm between the haves and have-nots which is difficult to bridge. Many promotions are based on who and not what you know"

"Toyota has a problem solving environment. They are very structure oriented and build from that. I enjoyed working there."

"Many of the production decisions had to route through Toyota in Japan intead of at the Erlanger head quarters which lent itself to frustration at times. Toyota is striving to correct this by gradually building an independent Toyota oraganization here in the USA."
