"The one joy I receive from tech support is the ability to share my knowledge with everyone, and help them better understand modern technology."
"I love working with technology."
"I loved my co-workers!"
"I love the ability to work inside and outside the parameters of my current skill set. When there are things that are outside of my skill set, I have the ability to research and resolve those things."
"Personally I am a programmer and I just couldn't sit at a computer all day and see a huge queue of customers coming in and complaining. Was more skilled/overqualified than the company required and did not utilize my skills fully."
"I like getting to work with customers of all ethnicity and and background daily. It feels very good to help someone with lower technical skill fix their IT-related issues. I do not like my current shift (2nd), and with my current position, I currently do not have authorization or training to handle some higher level issues, and it's frustrating when running into an issue where you can't help your caller."
"Working with the customers, helping to solve their problems."
"I am incredibly happy with the industry I am in. I can't wait to move up!"
"I found this job very attractive in the beginning. It was 24 hours but accommodation was made to put most people on a shift that they wanted. Also for the less desirable shifts there was the ability to work from home. The thing I hated is the option to work from home went away after 2 months and the work load increased substantially with the amount of people doing the work decreasing substantially due to the inability to retain personnel."
"I love helping students solve technical issues. I dislike some of the disrespect that you sometimes get from students and faculty."
"I do not hate being a tech support rep."
