"Be honest, offer any skills you may have, not just the ones required by the position you are interviewing for. Advantage wants to know how you can be an all around asset to the company."

What don't you like about working at Advantage Sign Supply?

"Very little opportunity for growth and advancement. Salary increases very stagnant. Years ago this was a fun place to work, now I realize that I will not be able to afford to improve my life due to the poor salary scale at Advantage Sign Supply."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Go to bat for your employees, they need your support! Salary increases need to be based on the value of the employee to the company, not some arbitrary 2-3% increase."

"The upper management wanted too much for what we were paid. The customers were very difficult a lot of the time."

"very poor"

What do you like about working at Monitronics International?

"nothing when they hired me they acted like they treated their employees as equal to the management. I was told by several employees during the training that they don't give raises like they are supposed to and they treat employees totally opposite than they told us in training."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"dont waste your time. They will fire you before you have a chance to prove yourself. The trainers are mean and treat everyone like crap"

What don't you like about working at Monitronics International?

"They treat their employee's poorly and will fire you at the drop of a hat if you don't fit in with their group. They make you feel stupid and like you are nothing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"learn to treat your employees the way you say you do. Treat them like adults and equals"

"The repetition of the job. Granted each situation is different, typically the fix is always the same."

"AT&T procedures and documents would change every quater. At one point I had 6 managers in 9 months."

"There needs to be more stability for teams and managers. Changing managers every tour bid disrupts chemistry between the employer and their employees."

"The work is challenging and ever changing. The company offers generous time off."

"Don't go into technical support unless you are able to do the job without training."

What don't you like about working at Cengage Learning?

"Management micro-manages. When an employee thinks outside the box, they are shot down.They describe themselves as innovative, but clearly they are not. If management was not there at all, it would be a decent place to work.The training department is lacking, and very basic. The training is not all encompassing of what you need to do the job, and when you are through with training, they expect you to know the entire job. Mistakes are not tolerated and result in discipline and threats."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get on the same page. Stop stomping on your employees. When you make a mistake, you should be held to the same standard as when your employees make mistakes. This is curently not the case. It makes for a miserable work environment. Also management, do not yell at your employees. That is very unprofessional. Again, if you were held to the same standard you hold your employees to, you would have been fired by now."

"It was temporary with a chance to be permanent. Although I had better stats than others, I was not chosen to bring on permanently. Where others with worse stats were hired."

"Be more fair in evaluating permanent employees. If you are going to keep stats use them appropriately."
