"Be honest they need people that will tell them the truth."

What don't you like about working at Sprint?

"I don't like the fact that the executive level make decisions on who stays and who goes for a layoff not based on performance but based on how long some one has sat in a chair and done nothing. Then there are those who say we are accountable but when it comes down to it they are hiding behind their chair afraid to make the right decision because their numbers may look bad and they don't want to have to explain them to the manager because he doesn't understand either."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be truly accountable. If you don't understand that's OK find some one to explain it to you. If the numbers are not what they are supposed to be don't manipulate them then the root-cause and but together an actionable executable plan that truly makes a difference. Then execute your plan and don't be afraid to push back on your supervisor and let him know that your plan is a 3 month or 4 month plan. Let him know that this is going to work be accountable for success not a reed in the wind searching for you magic bullet. You;ll never find it."
