"I worked there as a contract consultant and was not an employee - but I would have loved to have stayed, but the timing for me was not good. In late 2000 the dot com bubble burst and with it came a hiring freeze at Seagate."

"If you get in - I doubt you will ever want to leave."

What don't you like about working at Seagate?

"Not much not to like. Scotts Valley, California is the location of their world-wide corporate headquarters and the campus was a thrill to work at - redwoods right out your window - and a gourmet restaurant... Yumm..."

"The company was very cost conscious, always watching the dollar, cheap even. Would pare staff by the quarter if profits fell. Not much security. Some managers were capricious which created some stress in the ranks."
