What do you like about working at Poolcorp?

"Freedom to do what you are trained to do - and no repercussions of asking when you don't know. The higher up the ladder someone is, the easier it seems to talk with them if you need too - very good company culture."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"use your HEART - Honesty, Energy, Accountability, Respect, & Trust - if you don't use these, and live by these, you don't belong here - if you give everything you got - you belong. Frauds will be found out in less than a year."

What don't you like about working at Poolcorp?

"I have found that long term employees who don't fit into into the traditional promotion ladder get pigeon holed into dead end jobs - not necessarily bad for them, but bad for the company - that could use these entry level jobs to bring in new blood"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would not change much at all ... Perjaps more accountability for the sales staff."

What do you like about working at Poolcorp?

"I get to really work, see a problem and just fix it. I don't have to get approval to fix it I don't have to fix it any certain way, I just get to work. I trained to do this job my boss didn't so he doesn't argue with what I do."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be yourself, we are just people. General attitude seems to be We get paid to do a job, we do it. If you can fill a roll we need your hired, Now get to work And you may need to purchase a NERF gun though that may just be my department."

What don't you like about working at Poolcorp?

"Users, I work IT so we support thousands of users, so bound to be a few dumb ones."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Keep up the good work. We are one of the few growing companies in this economy, they do their job I do mine and we don't get in each others way."

What do you like about working at Poolcorp?

"What I liked about working at SCP was learning new things daily in terms of IT. I worked on equipment ranging from Green Screen Terminals to PCs to Printers to Radio Frequency guns to Networking the entire company."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Research the company. This is not an ordinary Swimming Pool Distribution company. There are branches all over the country as well as in France, Canada, UK and many other places. Understand your day does not end at 5pm and be prepared to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week."

What don't you like about working at Poolcorp?

"I did not like how unorganized the IT department was in terms of management. Although I was the Help Desk Manager, on any given day if there was an issue I needed to discuss with my supervisor or manager, I was sent to several different people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I think it is important that IT Help Desk employees receive adequate training on new hardware and software before it is sent out to the branches and involving the Help Desk in decisions regarding new equipment and software is vital since they are the first line of defense."
