What do you like about working at Poolcorp?

"What I liked about working at SCP was learning new things daily in terms of IT. I worked on equipment ranging from Green Screen Terminals to PCs to Printers to Radio Frequency guns to Networking the entire company."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Research the company. This is not an ordinary Swimming Pool Distribution company. There are branches all over the country as well as in France, Canada, UK and many other places. Understand your day does not end at 5pm and be prepared to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week."

What don't you like about working at Poolcorp?

"I did not like how unorganized the IT department was in terms of management. Although I was the Help Desk Manager, on any given day if there was an issue I needed to discuss with my supervisor or manager, I was sent to several different people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I think it is important that IT Help Desk employees receive adequate training on new hardware and software before it is sent out to the branches and involving the Help Desk in decisions regarding new equipment and software is vital since they are the first line of defense."
