What don't you like about working at Merrill Lynch?
"It is a meat grinder. The ONLY way you would ever succeed here is if you have a book of business already established or are VERY well-connected. Goals are impossible for someone starting out new, and NEVER change when their own company makes negative headlines. The expectations are still the same regardless of putting hurdles in front of their own employees. The formula is quite simple... bring in as many as you can on board, and then once they fail, shift assets to the guys that have been there 30 yrs. It's a shell game and a false hope to new advisors. The BofA situation has only made it worse from what I hear, with advisors leaving in droves. There were several unscrupulous salespeople that were often praised for numbers, but disgusted me with their methods."
