The first Longhorn Steakhouse opened in 1981. The chain has experienced steady growth since its inception and plans to continue its expansion. Longhorn specializes in grilled steaks, seafood and chicken. The restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, and offers a full children''s menu. Each Longhorn Steakhouse location employs a General Manager, several assistant managers, cook staff, servers and bus persons.

Restaurant managers with a passion for growth in this industry enjoy excellent Longhorn Steakhouse careers. The company provides a full management training program that grooms individuals with leadership skills for positions of increasing responsibility in restaurants. The majority of managers are recruited from similar restaurant chains or promoted from within the company''s ranks. Managers are responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant.
