"I have worked for Dell Federal Services Government for almost two years and it has been a really great work environment. The company and it's employees preform their duties in a professional and ethical manner."
"Dell was great several years ago, as time progressed, the ability to save a few dollars with off shoring employees without the true business sight to see what these changes had on our customer base has taken its toll. Consistent threat of layoffs has challenged many of the employees to a point of take me now attitude. Very little upward mobility within the sales force and the resistance from management to advance said employees has also negatively affected its sales team."
"I've worked for Dell for 15 years, I enjoyed the early successes of the company, however the culture and goals have changed drastically from 5 years go. Once upon a time the people were the most important thing about the company, now it's just the budget."
"Good compensation but very rigid and political practices in place."
"Dell has terrible managers, bad leadership and a fundamental lack of consideration for its employees. While the people themselves at the lower levels are talented and good with which to work, they are all not being well served by the miserable lack of strategic leadership, the constant re-organization of the company and the use of lay-offs as the first measure to cut costs. I highly dissuade anyone from joining this outfit. Unless you're only in it for quick way to make money."
"Had VSP not been offered I would still be working at Dell."
"I have worked for Dell more than 5 years in different domain and technology environments and had good experience. The work culture or environment is free of politics and had a good encouragement."
"Good company to work for. It was just time for me to go."
"Excellent team work, knowledgeable peers and overall a great place to work. Shortfalls in strategic leadership in some areas generates problems with client projects. Continuous outsourcing is leading to local manpower drain and affecting the quality of the services being offered to clients. This is creating a negative impact on some projects and corporate image. Company as a whole is a great place to work and provides the requisite resources to work."
"I have started at Dell at 2008, is really good company to work for."
"Despite our OKC queue being one of the Best Enterprise groups based on Metrics, our levels of training and work ethics are being dragged down by our Round Rock counterparts to the point of low morale."
"Not a good company. They set up a six month sales year. By the time you make contacts and meet customers to start a deal, the customer barely has time to get the solution through their budget cycle before the end of the six month. Then they change territories so your prior work counted for nothing. Worked there almost three years and they changed my territories and customers over five times. Managers are managers, not leaders. Total focus is on Salesforce.com reporting."
"Dell is a good company, I liked working with them. In future if I get a chance to work with them again, I would love to take that opportunity."
"It's always depend on what organization you work within this company or any company. In my case, the group I worked under was great."
