"Contractors' jobs were always being threatened because of the ability to easily be replaced."

"There needs to be clearer communication coming directly from managers to the core team members and to the team leads of each platform."

"They move people to different roles much too often, not allowing anyone to build a stable operation."

"Build longevity on critical positions. I would suggest that the executive manager not involve herself into so much of the day-to-day details of the operations."

"Make sure you are not easily distracted. The environment on campus is like a college campus."

"My boss would make us come into the office, and she would work from home, telling us because she could."

"Allow people the same privileges, and you won't have so many people trying to leave their contracts."

"The company in itself was great because of the training and the administrative tasks that I was expected to complete. I really enjoyed that part of my job because I'm a really operational and organized person."

"Make sure you apply if you're ready to come to work every day ready to work. The teller managers run the branch and there is a lot of work and multi-tasking and organization processes that must be completed. You have to pay attention to deadlines and make sure you use your time wisely."

What don't you like about working at Capital One?

"When we went through the merger from Chevy Chase Bank to Capital One Bank, there were a lot of unclear directions for how things were filed and the different processes during the day, and with my position being to keep everything filed correctly and in proper regulation, it was hard to get clarification from district executives on how to do it."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Just make sure that communication is always there and there is an open door policy for any questions, because it's better to do it right the first time other than having to go back and fix it multiple times due to lack of information."

"I like when you help people, and they are grateful that you helped them."

"Do you really want to do that You're overworked, there's less pay, and there are so many changes in the corporations that nothing sticks."

What don't you like about working at Capital One?

"You are micromanaged, your manager doesn't seem to have the answers, and it makes you feel lost. There are angry clients who blame you for things you have no control over."

"I would have everyone have a work-life balance, and try to be someone who is inspirational to make them feel like they're working for a cause."

"What I like about working for Capital One is, this company allows me to sharpen my analytic skills to develop reports that influence the decisions made for the operations side of Capital One."

"I would suggest improvements in software to allow better tracking of loans that enter the site, and better streamlining of the process of processing and underwriting the loans."
