"Great company with great people, but needs some more organization and structure. Some employees have no idea what they are doing and I had a hard time finding value in some jobs. Maybe some of the cost savings should be passed on to those insured by BCBSM."

"A horrible experience with no clear guidance or training."

What do you like about working at Blue Cross Blue Shield?

"I really don't like anything about working for the company. They have nice grounds and pretty good food, but other than that it is like a beautiful prison."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you want in, good luck. I basically just said everything I thought they wanted to hear, and also told them I could start right away, and that got them interested."

What don't you like about working at Blue Cross Blue Shield?

"I dislike everything. Managers are not involved in helping employees with anything. No one talks to me and makes me feel like I am part of the team, but there is a lot of talking behind my back. There is no hands-on training. They have classes and manuals that you read, which don't help. We are all working in cubicles which are so close together you can hear what everyone is doing. I don't feel like I can be myself here."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more involved! My manager never says anything to me unless it is in the form of an email. She isn't involved in my training and no one ever sat down with me and explained what the job was and what the training would entail. All day I sit here by myself; no one talks to me and I do nothing."
