"The company struggled financially and we had to take pay cuts to keep it going."

"I don't have any suggestions for them. If the company had been doing well I would have stayed."
What do you like about working at Bank of America?
"The exposure to various technologies. Over the years at the bank, I have been exposed to various aspects of software development. I got an excellent chance to work with members from other departments who are not predominantly a development group."

"The current process that they have is pretty good and may change as on need basis."
What don't you like about working at Bank of America?
"The drive to experiment with new methodologies and technologies. Considering that it is a Fortune 500 company this may be one of the reasons why they don't want to implement them as they may be expensive."

"Encourage more research and development in the software development arena."

"There were two many mid level manages under too many vice presidents."

"Upper management does a great job keeping the division healthy so no real suggestions."

"The environment is a good place to work. The work being done is interesting."

"My biggest recommendation would be to relocate to be closer to the office in Hull/Gatineau."

"The salary is lower than I would prefer. The commute is farther than I would like."

"They will want to see that you are willing to take initiative. Also, our company has a great culture and you must be able to get along with other people and have a good time to fit in."

"Some of the systems are old and the code is outdated and not up to date with current accepted best practices."

"Some of the processes we use for task management are inefficient and should be changed or removed."

"two of a total four projects were published or slated to be published imminently. The other two were not released becaue other departments could not support the back end as they claimed it could."

"Please evaluate bureaucracy in the development area, in this country this company pay above average, but you have to evaluate what are your most important interests"

"In the development area, focus on the development view to have a productive department and not in what is not supposed to be done."

"Don't get pressured into making a decision on the spot."

"Constant nights and weekends. Poor to no scheduling of projects."

"Learn how to say no or at the very least, sure we will take care of that tomorrow. Not everything needs to get done immediately. Learning how to use Project or some other planning tools would probably help too."
