"SAIC is an extremely diversified international corporation. They offer many opportunities for growth in the commercial sector. This is not as likley on a government contract such as my curent one with NASA."

"There is nothing wrong with working as a support service contractor within a federal agency. Individuals may enjoy this type of work environment. I prefer to be more proactive and play a key role in helping an organization reach its goals and objectives."
What don't you like about working at SAIC?
"SAIC provides a reasonable rate of compensation and the benefits package is top shelf. Again, growth opportunities are limited on a government contract."

"I have constantly provided suggestions to SAIC management for effecting continuous improvement, cost containment, etc. Most endeavors require the acceptance of the federal government to move forward."

"Company was a solid and large government contractor very stablr and openly traded"

"SAIC is an excellent company to work for I would gladly return to work for them but not at my former customer site."

"After 7 years of excellent support at the government facility a management change occured which change the enviroment from one of highly supportave and cooperative to a hostile and combative situation"

"None SAIC management team was excellent Management team at the customer site was poor at best in the end"

"they look for hard working technicians; but they do not allow you to think on your own"

"the organization and time management; little communication between upper management and those working on the trucks"

"hold more meetings that include technicians or heed the advice of the technicians to help put trucks out more efficiently"

"Each department is like a separate, independent company of no more than 50-60 people controlled by one manager. Each department can therefore be quite different from others."

"In highly classified projects, personnel turnover was very slow, leading to slow adoption of new technologies and continued use of many obsolete technologies."
