"It has been an adventure being part of an organization that has done nothing but improve year over year. In my time with Saia. It has grown from a twelve State Coverage carrier to a National Coverage carrier with International reach made possible with our subsidiary Linkex."

"I have worked at SAIA for 3 years. It is a great company with great benefits and exceptional people. There are several executives who have spent their entire careers in the organization, promoting lifelong careers for all those that are “bought in.” The demand in the business is growing faster than the abundance of good, quality people, though. So, employees are often held back in fear that they cannot be replaced."

"I worked for this twin cities carrier for far too long. The lies from its local top leadership regarding home time were numerous . Pre this job I worked for FedEx freight . When comparing the two companies regarding professional handling of freight there is absolutely no similarities ; Saia in Mounds View failed to require. It's workers the high level of training that is mandatory at FedEx ( known as Onboarding Education) . Look at Saia stock price and compare. That to FedEx stock price and one can readily deduce who truly brings the best in class service to the consignee. Saia does not pay its line drivers for pre or post trip inspections as well as any lay over pay and all down time pay as outbound loads are excessively delayed ."

"With the changes of the company, it's okay, but when the management does something wrong it's hidden, and now talk over the yard, that the driver trainer pulled a trailer all the way to San Antonio, and the Terminal Manager and Assist Manager both close their eyes to some people and others you send home or suspend for a few days. All directives should be for everyone including management, trainers, drivers and helpers. It's now a disgrace to work out of this terminal. All infractions should apply to all who hold a position at any Saia site."

"I worked with Saia Motor Freight for 5 years. The 1st two years I worked in the Billing Dept and I really liked it, but I did not like working nights. The billing supervisor was always fair. The last three years at Saia I worked in the Customer Service Dept. I would always take at least a hundred calls a day and get good reviews from my supervisor, but I was always treated very badly by her supervisors. When promotions became available, they were never fair. They would promote employees that did not take half of the calls I took and someone that has not worked 90 days yet."

"The company itself seems good at the first look. But once you get deeper into its depths you find out there are many many flaws to this company. They don't hire enough employees to complete the job. Instead, they force the current employees to work longer hours to finish what was started. Employees continue to work long hours with not enough equipment. Hence the large revolution of employees quitting and being hired."

"I found SAIA Motor Freight a challenging workplace. Taking over a position that was left open for 14 months, it took many hours (16-18 per day) to get all on board and in compliance. Many thefts within company employees, including management. Company needs more engagement from within including training quality personnel."
