What do you like about working at Whitestone Masonic & Eastern?
"Having my work bring me into contact with the residents and to have the opportunity to get to know them. The job was very challenging, the three people who had preceeded me had no idea what they were doing and they made more problems than they had fixed. There was no one to ask for details of how the plant had been operating so I had to learn it from the ground up and much of what I was told turned out to be incorrect. I do love a challenge and this proved a graet one. When I was Finished I had reduced their gas and electric operating expense from 875K to less than 600K per year. As systems I had designed and or installed came on line after I left I expected it to drop to close to 500K per year."

"It is a great place to work but you need to be customer service oriented"

"Really liked all phases of the work, moving equipment form one plant to another, and getting it up and running,"

"As a self-starter, you have complete freedom to lead the team and show accomplishments, growth, and creativity."

"Enjoy the UK Company. They bring a great perspective to manufacturing and are very willing to help their personnel grow, take on responsibility, very friendly, family oriented, require the whatever it takes attitude to achieve their goals, and highly recommended for all the above. Great company!!!"

"The uncertainty about the future expectations of getting a large contract with the military which is part of being an entrepreneurial company in the U.S. selling new style of face masks."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Set the long-term goals in Strategical Planning and stick with it. That is why the goals or objectives are established for business and personnel growth. Otherwise, personnel will start quitting if they do not see long-term career planning. Then the company loses the talent that they gained and have to start all over again with new people. Also, Continuously strive for improvement and go for ISO or QS Certification, or whatever Certification is appropriate for defining standardization in processes, methods, and training. Quality is maintained with standardization. Also go with Lean Manufacturing and get rid of the 7 types of wastes. As a suggestion as well, excellent forecasting is vital in determining and planning for future growth, manpower planning, space utilization inside the plant, capacity planning, and costing purposes."

"Was hired to do one job but expected to do several. Worked as a Manager, supervisor and mechanic. Also hired and layoff employees regularly with little regard to employees"
