"Many decision made at corporate without always understanding the local condition."

"Corporate managers need to have a better view of local conditions outside for corporate HQ"

"Ask them to outline what you need to do to get ahead in the company. Judge their response carefully. Ask what the company culture is like."

What don't you like about working at OpenLink Financial?

"In certain areas of the company I found the culture unfriendly - especially between managment and staff. Extra effort and initiative is not recognized and rewarded. Vacations are discouraged and then you lose it at end of year. Innovation is squashed if you try to come up with newer and better ways of doing things. Shifting requirements - managment would constantly change requirements on projects; no formal project managment like SCRUM/Agile in certain groups."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Staff should be treated more respectfully in certain groups. If you are not part of the good old boy network you are excluded."

"My department is flexible. Can work any set of hours I'd like. Tasks are generally pre-defined although we get some degree of flexibility in implementation."

"Know your stuff. We are looking for the bright minds and give programming tests."

"While I have some degree of freedom, the majority of employees don't."
