"I enjoyed my internship at Microsoft. There are lots of really smart people there, and I got to work on cool technology. The compensation was very competitive.The only real downside of Microsoft is how large it is. Sometimes, it's hard to find the correct documentation or team that you need to interface with."

"Overall, this was a good experience with good people. I had my own office, which was good for shutting out distractions, and I had a lot of autonomy + a PM with his head screwed on straight. The place was far from perfect - contractors often had difficulty getting the attention of veteran employees and there was a vast disconnect between managers about practicality and time constraints vs perfection and polish. I learned a lot tho and I did work that everyone approved of, so it worked out."

Also, it was an environment where you could relax and be yourself; people were comfortable with each other's quirks and habits, and I really liked my coworkers, not just liked working with them. The best thing, though, was my boss, who was great to have in your corner; she was very good at getting people to work together and getting them what they needed when they needed it."
