"Lockheed was a solid company. I enjoyed working on all the various equipment, pretty much any electronic device or technology could be found or in use there, which required maintenance or repair. Lot's of hands on experience. Great training, and personal improvement incentives."

"I have nothing bad to say about working at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space. The company was great to me."

"In my job I was given a lot of freedom in how I executed plans and developed systems. I had root access to a few servers when I left and was able to do some amazing things with the local data and financial systems."

"Be prepared to fit into their mold, but you will gain valuable experience solving difficult problems and making a difference."

"Their HR department is okay at best (kept very loyal to corporate) and as a company run by engineers sometimes isn't able to think outside of the box very well or streamline processes enough."

"Different companies within L-M have different benefits packages. Be careful who you work for."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"We were a small offsite project and the company, being so large never knew we existed. The site manager refused to let us know who the chain of command was offsite--very controlling--had a terrible temper--and it was not a great situation. She hired me at the very top of the range, and I didn't get a raise for 2 years--I thought there was something wrong with me, but it was just that there was so little communication. Everything depends on communication, and really, no one cared."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take an interest in the projects under you. Know the people. Care about them."

"It opened opportunities for employees to grow into the company. It allowed me to advance into my career as aircraft painter."

"The tips I have people interviewing is to be on time for work and friendly."

"I enjoyed working at Lockheed-Martin. I do not have any comment of what I don't like about the company."
