"I've worked with Lockheed Martin for 15 years. It's sad to say I was laid off after such a long time in their service. I left behind what I would like to call my family. Indeed, times are hard these days, especially for the defense industry. Lockheed, for the most part, gave me an opportunity to be a part of something great. I just wish I could have retired with them."

"I have worked with Lockheed Martin since July 2004. They compensate well but they are a company so large that they treat their employees as a number. You are not recognized for your accomplishments and if your program you support you are required to find your next job. They hire you but then expect you to continue to find work within the company to keep you employed. They don't take into consideration your quality of work and will lay you off without hesitation."

"I liked most aspects of my job. My management part of my job was the most challenging."

"To be honest and show that you can take charge of the position you are applying for."

"Being independent and creative about problem solving and solutions to ongoing problems."

"To acknowledge the work done by those that actually do the job, not just take credit for the work being done."

"Working at a government company that supplied weapons for the military where I hoped to grow a successful opportunity as a Network Administrator."

"Ask about work flow and training methods how the company provides to their employees."

What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?

"Downsizing company to reduce costs as many were losing their jobs to be relocated with no choice of their own. Usually trained solo and was not given proper instruction to work around the company as I trained solo on the printer network."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Proper supervision for training and have interaction with employee to provide better answers to help clients on site."
