What do you like about working at BlumShapiro?
"There is always the opportunity to take on a new challenge and management really cares about the employees. Whether you have hit a point in your career where you're yearning for something more or you have a personal crisis happening at home, the leaders of the firm want to help and do what they can to get you where you need to be."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be yourself and be honest about what you want out of a career with BlumShapiro. This is a great firm that can provide you with a fulfilling career, whether you join as an accountant, a consultant or an administrative professional. If you get hired right out of college, remember that not every firm cares about it's employees so much.... make sure you appreciate what you have! And, use the resources they offer-- from the support groups (IT, Finance, HR) to the formal mentor you're assigned, everyone really does want to help."
What don't you like about working at BlumShapiro?
"As we grow there seems to be more layers of approval needed to implement new ideas, policies etc. It's not a bad thing necessarily, but it takes longer to get from point A to point B and that can sometimes be discouraging."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I suggest being more creative, stepping out of the the professional services box to look at how we can make our employees happier. I really do think BlumShapiro does a great job, but as with any employer there's always room for improvement or advancement."
What do you like about working at Greenwood Development?
"Freedom to work on multiple projects of interest to me personally and that benefited the welfare of the EE population as well."

"Maintain a positive outlook, positive attitude and intuitively know when to fight for what will benefit the EE population and organization."
What don't you like about working at Greenwood Development?
"Sometimes micr-management was a problem, but over time this condition improved."

"Keep up the good work-Fight against the status quo atmosphere from some departments; continue to achieve excellence in all that you do for both your customers and internal clients."

"I worked for the Company for 12 years until I was laid off. There wasn't really anything I did not like."

"Be open to ideas from the employees and understand their daily responsibilties."

"The growth and the ability to make decisions and be a part of a strategic team."

"The company was acquired and the construction industry is slow. They are not hiring right now. I would not recommend interviewing for this company."

"My position was eliminated when the company was acquired by ProBuiild. Human Resources was centralized in North Carolina."

"Be open and honest when your communicate to your employees."

"It is a large company, in which there are alot of great people employed here."

"The best tip when interviewing, is to do your research on the company in advance so you have an idea of who they portray themselves to be."
What don't you like about working at Collington Services?
"I don't like that in most positions, there is little opportunity for advancement."

"My suggestion to management would be to do more internal hiring."
