"Absolutely terrible, this place is a sweat shop."

What do you like about working at Jeld-Wen?

"I did not like anything about working here. I am glad I received some manufacturing and leadership experience to put on my resume, and to refer to down the road."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't work here. Seriously, especially if your interviewing for a salary position. I worked here as a manager, and an employee screwing hinges on a door received larger pay checks then me as a manager."

What don't you like about working at Jeld-Wen?

"Started work at 4:00 am more times then not, work 92 hours one week on a 40 hour salary. They take advantage of their employees, have poor leadership, with little direction. This corporation currently operates in fear of being unionized."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Start over from scratch, work smarter not hard, stop running your business with old school practices. Get with the program."

"It is a good company, but it will hit some limitations over the next couple years. They are not keeping talent in the US. They are not open to changes to their initial business plan."

"I do not get the support I need. My ideas are no longer getting consideration. I am getting pulled in several directions."

"Be more careful of the resources being allocated. Don't place deadlines on others and turn around and not meet your own."

"upper management. Cut in ours but expectation of performance is held to high"

"I needed to see what I could do on my own. I always wanted to create my own business."

"It is important to value the people working for your company. They are the backbone of success for any enterprise."

"Plenty of opportunity for those looking to advance. Management does the right thing and not just the easy thing. They make a huge investments in training and education."

"Be decisive and display a sense of fairness. The Service likes decision makers that do the right thing. Overzealous sells well with a few but in a job where you will ultimately have a great deal of power you need to have balance."

What don't you like about working at IRS?

"Some managers are a poor fit to their job. Mid and upper level management is slow to admit a mistake and very slow in making necessary changes."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Because we're part of Government we do move with the political winds. I think a little more resistance to this issue would provide both employees and the public with the fact that we are here year in and year out to fairly apply the law to all citizens"
