"My work location was beautiful, especially in the summer. On-campus cafeteria, gym, and sports facilities. I can't say much about Granite, since I didn't deal with them day-to-day. Benefits are competitive."

It was a joy to work with my team, as they all provided continuous insight and motivation. Individual work was also enjoyable, as I could complete tasks on an aggressive time frame, exceeding their expectations. I was deeply upset at having to resign when I did. However, they were more than understanding and supportive of my reasons. Before leaving, my team and I were able to completely transition all projects that I was involved in to my replacement with no animosity."

"Granite Services is a subsidiary of GE Energy. The compensation was above average and the working environment was very educational. Working in very remote areas has been a good learning experience. Learning how to manage the safety program and dealing with the customer on a daily basis has been very beneficial in order to feel competent in the environmental health and safety field."

Compensation and lack of opportunity to grow within Granite Services International are the bad and on the flip side, it can help you get good, diverse experience and further your career outside the organization. They are a good entry level company and have decent benefits. I would recommend them based on that criteria. However, for someone looking for a long term future, I would not."

"I loved the first year I was at Granite, and part of the second. When the relationship of my contract manager and PSA leader to my team began to turn, the negative effects on morale of all of the team members were tremendous. Several members voluntarily quit, at the height of the recession, rather than stay on with this contract house. I was laid off in 2009, only to be picked up by another contract house for the same client five weeks later. I've never been so happy to be unemployed."

"it is not easy to take vacation for long time , we have some problems dedicated to our branch only , not for for granite service international"
