"I love being able to support the soldiers and provide them with fully functioning equipment. The only downside for me would be the working areas. When it is really cold, it's cold. We work in tents that do not have any insulation in them so personal heaters are a must when cold weather hits."

Electronics Mechanic at Metropolitan Transit Authority

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Good work place if benefits and compensation are most important."

What do you like about working at Metropolitan Transit Authority?

"The benefits are decent, not the best but better than others. The entry level pay is better than most. They have work Unions."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask plenty of questions about how the department works and pay raises."

What don't you like about working at Metropolitan Transit Authority?

"The room for growth, they could do a better job of helping employees 'move up' (promotions) within the company. POLITICS, just like at other companies, your success will sometimes depend on who you know and not what you can do!PAY, the entry level pay is good but the long term pay is NOT. Not much raises after you've reached a certain level in most areas. This depends in what type of union and department you are in."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Try and appreciate your employees. Help employees that are great employees stay with the company."
