correct the cons and be receptive- don't treat the employees or customers with an "us versus them" mentality. And maybe take a few management courses and read a few books on what good leadership is as it certainly wouldn't hurt to improve your practices. - as someone once said - "People don't leave bad companies, they leave bad management"
