"The bad housing/real estate market - I took a transfer prior to the Central Coast closing its doors and then left the company to learn project management when I saw downsizing happening in Seattle."

"Don't grow too fast. It's better to heve deep well established roots and be able to weather a storm than to become so over extended in land speculation and holdings that when the market turns south you have to shut the doors."
