What do you like about working at CBS Broadcasting?

"I liked the variety of the position and the excitement of reporting the news. Everyday brought a new opportunity and new exciting story to report in the field. Come 5pm, it was game time. We had to be ready to roll by 5pm every night for the live newscast. It was fast paced, and a high energy enviornment, which I loved!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be open and honest in regard to what type of role you want with CBS. Be ready to work. It is an incredibly demanding job that requires passion and determination on a daily basis."

What don't you like about working at CBS Broadcasting?

"Upper management at CBS lacked direction for the news director. We didn't receive a lot of guidance or direction from upper management, which left us in the dark in some respects."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Communication is key! Without communication, employees will be left guessing their role and what their priorities are on a daily basis. I learned from that situation, that if the top management positions are not communicating effectively with their employees, the entire organization will suffer due to the lack of communication and the understanding of each persons role on the team."
