Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Study. All components of the selection process are on capitalone.com including: behavioral interviews (BI), tests, case studies, etc. Practice these. Develop more than one answer for each BI question. Never use the same answer/example in BIs. Develop good understanding of the company background/history, products, services, and financials (value, revenue, ROI/A, etc.). Remember, COF considers itself to be a highly data-driven, technology-based organization over a financial services company. Make sure this is the environment for you. If it is, demonstrate your acumen in this capacity, as well as your analytical/conceptual thinking, problem-solving discipline, communicative abilities, collaborative style, and your ability to analyze data and information to draw appropriate conclusions and/or make recommendations."

What don't you like about working at Capital One?

"I didn't like the constant reductions in force at Capital One. There was little to no mobility within the company, ambiguous vision/strategy, poor corporate communications, and very low employee morale."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Gain a balance between the IBS approach and intuitive decision-making. Close the gap between senior leadership and associates."
