"Boeing has strong upper management and I will hang onto my company stock. It is my opinion that, due to this division's successes in making designs more reliable, converting from 2D to 3D documentation, solving producibility issues and outsourcing manufacturing, fewer people will be needed in this kind of position. The position pays well, but the required knowledge and skills (e.g.: aircraft sheet metal repairs) are not in demand outside the company."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"Boeing promotes personal development of their employees 100% tuition reimbursement, as well as providing their own technical training in St. Louis."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Whatever your core competency is become a Subject Matter Expert at it. And don't be soft spoken, this industry thrives on confident knowledgeable employees making command decisions and standing by them."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"Practical work experience is an element that the majority of people respect, hiring management right out of college, and placing them in a technical and highly aggressive work environment does not promote employee morale. During my 8 years at Boeing I had to train three managers. Call me old school but I feel that my manager should possess more knowledge than me and should be able to perform any of his/hers employees daily functions."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The corporate ethics training I received at Boeing has carried over into my new employment, keep up the good work."
