What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"Too cyclic, worked here since 1989, been laid off 2 times, will have 18 + Nov., actually will be 12-13. During lay off no one will hire. For almost 20 years here I have almost 13. I was laid off thru no fault of my own."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quit treating the employees like DIRT, they all get their perks and raises, when it comes to the union they treat us like disposal waste. They have no problem taking work away to build substandard work, then blame it on the workers. Start thinking about how to retain, not throw away."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"Excellent place to allow me to fully utilize my extensive engineering background in a diverse manner amongst many engineers, being able to evaluate, and even help troubleshoot software/hardware problems, in order to get a great product out the door in a timely fashion, along with chances to effectively work with management, with Boeing Level 5 Management authority."

There was no real offer of becoming a Boeing employee, even before the economic downturn, that forced them to get rid of all their contractors. Nevertheless, this is a relatively minor complaint, since what I liked at Boeing outweighed what I disliked."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"Sometimes management is stern and unwilling to compromise when I was working there as a contractor for the Government of Israel on the Apache project, other than that, pretty good place to work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hmm, well only thing I wish I could have done was be a full time employee with company, seeing how I was doing my contract job I was hired for and other position that they had a vacancy for, yet I was not selected for position based upon not having a BA degree, yet I knew more than the person they hired, so it kind of stinks about the Red Tape, that's all."
