"I've worked with Best Buy for almost a year. It's the best start point in my opinion. The company has a lot of retail stores around the US. What's best is the relationship between you and your colleagues, it's more like a family. I'm looking for a new job because despite the good work place and the good treatment, I need enough payment to meet my everyday life needs. I only regret not being given enough hours at work to make enough payment for my daily and monthly requirements."
"I have found that Best Buy is a great place to work and the people are committed to have fun doing their job."
"Worked since 2009. I have been very happy with the company."
"Bad, bad place. Don't work there ever."
"I have worked at Best Buy for about three years now and aside from some lateral department shifts, I have not seen much advancement. I have worked part-time and desperately needed a full-time spot, which has yet to be provided. It is a bit demoralizing having to work so hard and only have just enough to cover rent every month. The co-workers are great and quite frankly are the only thing that keeps me from giving a lower score."
"I worked as a Geek Squad agent for 9 months. During that time, I saw a lot of people in my department come and go. I made a lot of acquaintances, and was very sad to see people leave. However, I understood why they left. The supervisor was super friendly and nice guy. The pay is ridiculously low, 75% of customers are incredibly rude, and the flexibility of the job is 0."
"Best Buy is a great place to gain some customer service experience; however, it is difficult and many times impossible to move up the ladder. Management is very nice and the work environment is very fun. I would recommend that everybody work there for at least a short time."
"I have worked at Best Buy Mobile for 1.5 years now, and I believe it has been a life changing experience for me. I have begun to understand the behind the scenes operations of a corporation and learned to provide top of the line customer service."
"After I'd been there 5 years, they made major changes. GS was merged with customer support, so we spent a lot of time doing returns and similar things. They also required us to be available 7 days a week, so planning activities with friends and families became impossible."
"Current CEOs renew blue strategy is not really working. It is more focused on cost-cutting rather than a real strategy. Saving money thru cost cuts cannot bring great revenue in the long run. So many great people are gone/being gone due to this."
"The re-org has me looking for a more stable company."
"Best Buy has not changed with the times. They are cutting back in all the wrong places and the company is suffering."
"It is simply a retail job at the end of the day.No matter what work you put in.It is very laid back, just do your job."
"I had a good experience working at Best Buy."
"I have worked with Best Buy for the better part of 9 years. Overall the company is committed to good employee experience, but I fear that often it is in contrast to their business planning goals."
