"Impress them with your people skills, that's what seems to count there, more so than qualifications. I was told on occasion that culture trumps performance."

"Lack of opportunities for advancement, management is slow in getting projects for you, one must bootstrap and get the projects yourself."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Need to be more proactive with employees to generate more loyalty and really treat them better than just cogs in the wheel. Too much turn around. Company cannot retain employees for too long."

"Be a guy! Not many women there"

"It was stuck in the 50s as far as system advancement. Old school and managment was all family. No experience. Some programs were run into the ground. Quality was not a concern, only deliveries"

"Hire EXPERIENCED and EDUCATED engineers and managers, not family or friends."

"The atmosphere is not very good for creative ideas. People don't want to think outside of the box and refuse to try new ideas."

"Large company with an expaned portfolio. Tactical vehicles allow our people to come back home, and I love being a part of that."

"Stability of each line of business. BAE dosn't give enough attention to each line of business equally allowing some to fall."

"The hours of work can get bad sometimes and the upper management needs to understand to keep the business going, they need to keep the experienced and talented employees during a down turn and loss of contracts."
